New month means new giveaway! Starting today, we’re launching our monthly giveaway for three $25 PayPal MagCloud gift cards. You can enter to win by answering the question below in the blog comments section, or tweeting @MagCloud your answer using the #MagCloudQ hashtag. The questions and prizes will change each month so if you don’t win this round, check back in April for another chance.
As you may know, here at MagCloud we are big fans of The Lorax. After recently announcing the “Every Inkling Storybook Tool “ and “Every Inkling Makes a Difference” writing contest we thought it was a great time to ask the broader MagCloud community how you are personally taking steps toward making our planet a cleaner and greener place. As The Lorax says, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” This month, we’d love to know: How does the story of the Lorax inspire you to reduce your environmental impact?
The details:
- Post your answer to the above question in the comments section below or tweet @MagCloud with the #MagCloudQ hashtag
- Responses must be posted by Friday, March 30, 2012 at 4:00pm PST
- Winners will be announced via Twitter, Facebook, and our blog on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 by 12:00pm PST
- Questions? Post in the comments below or tweet us @MagCloud

I recycle packing boxes and supplies for shipping.
I loved the “The Lorax”. One way that we reduce our carbon footprint is by recycling our cans and paper products. I take my magazines to our local hospital for them to distribute to the patients, (that is if the pages don’t end up in my “Inspire Thoughts” book). If I have taken too much out of the magazine, it goes to our recycling place. We also bought new efficiency energy star rated appliances. ♥
I recycyle all household materials and use eco friendly products. We give items away for others that may be in need and using energy efficient appliances. It is a great feeling to help replenish the earth. But one of the mose important things is teaching others the importance of recycling.
For all of my print on demand projects I use FSC-approved paper, print on both sides wherever possible, and buy energy-saving printers and recycle their cartridges
In the spirit of saving trees, I have been trying to save as much paper as possible. I have switched to paperless billing, I no longer subscribe to a printed newspaper (but rather the E-edition of the paper instead), and now read more E-books on my E-reader.
Buy Digital Magazines!
Then ways in which I will ”save the earth,” are: I will go digital when I can and use any and all recyclable products and spread the environmental saving news to people I know.
The Lorax was my favorite story growing up. I have been a strong supporter of the Arbor Day foundation and try to plant at least one tree a year. I also recycle, buy organic, and try to live as co friendly as possible.
The Lorax not only “speaks for the trees” but he is worried about the plight of the animals that depend upon the forest for their food and shelter. I feel the same way when I see land being torn up for condos and such — where will the animals that inhabit that land go now? I always sign petitions, etc. that protect these areas.
