DSLRs are the best, for sure when you want something really professional but I usually use my iPhone to take pictures since I always have it on me and allows instant sharing.
My go-to is the Sony A77. :)
@MagCloud #MagCloudQ ” I AM NIKON” or “Which ever CAMERA is NEAR BY (IPHONE or dslr)!”
need a 24×105 lens for my class at lbcc.
I shoot with a Canon 50D outside, in my studio I use a 30D or a Rebel depending on what I’m shooting. :)
I prefer the Canon 5D Mark II for it’s photosensor and full frame capabilities. The 90mm tilt shift lens is perfect for an abstract focus look with select focus and is a perfect way to correct for weird perspective on lines.
‘The drawings are open to MagCloud blog readers, Twitter followers and Facebook fans that reside in the United States ‘ What about those of us on the rest of the planet?
Thank you for your feedback Brian. Due to contest regulations at this point, we can only allow for contest entries from the U.S. We’d still love to hear your thoughts on what your go-to camera is.
My Nikon D5100 is always my first to go-to but, if I don’t have with me, since my iPhone is already a part of me then he will take the place LOL!
For the perfect shot, I like my NIKON. True story, I tried taking a picture with my phone but could not choose the right setting for movement. Although, I ended up with TI”s (the rapper’s hat) hat that day at a concert. All I really wanted was that perfect picture shot.
iPhone
All toys… For B&W I go for my Arca-Swiss 8×10″ F-metric with T-Max100 film. For color I use my Arca-Swiss 4×5″ Field with Fuji Velvia 100 transparency film. For snapshots… Nikon D300 (but still a toy) ;^)
Just got a Canon 60D – am in love!! Definitely my new go-to!
iphone…ooxoxox
My go to camera: Nikon D700 with the 85 1.8 for portraits – love the clean, clear richness of the colours and the bokeh that the camera and lens combination give me. At night the camera body is excellent with the 50 1.8 for low noise scenics.
Mine is the Canon 5D !!
It really depends on the situation – for something quick on the fly, I use my point and shoot. For more planned out stuff I use my Canon DSLR. And for late night, in the dark I use my modified point and shoot for IR shooting or some times I will pull out the full spectrum camera for some funky shots
Right now, my go to camera is the Canon 5Dii but looking to change that to the 5Diii very soon! Though, when it comes to my toddler around the house, it’s the iphone. As soon as the big camera comes out, my daughter hides under the dining table.
HP 635 Photosmart..it might be older but the quality is there…and economical.
This is sort of a trick question….a camera you always have close is probably your phone. It makes nice photos but in no way compared to DSLR. So…to make that perfect shot you can be happy with I would always your my digital SLR camera but most of the time I carry at least one analog camera with me and I will probably use that one. You can’t see the result right away but I’m most of the time pretty sure that it looks good so it’s worth the wait :).
Nothing compares to the DSLR. What I love to use is my new Motorola Electrify Smart phone. It has a 4.3″ qHD display, HD video and an 8mp camera. The pictures I take are unbelieveable, so clear and crisp and easy to use too!
My Iphone!!!
I always use my Nikon D200…because you never know when you are going to need that image to use in a situation where you need high quality
My Canon Rebel XSi is my baby! I absolutely LOVE it! I am never without it! <3
My go to camera is usually my Canon 40D. But I also shoot with Polaroid cameras, for that instant print satisfaction, various film cameras, and even pinhole cameras. It all depends on what “that shot” is.
Canon 1d mark iv
Currently, for professional photographs my go-to is a Canon DSLR 50D with a Canon EF 16-35mm lens. I am looking forward to the Canon 5D Mark III being my go-to body with the same lens.
I use a dslr Nikon, love it
Birds in flight require some of the bells and whistles on my Canon 7D – most often with a long lens.
Love my Panasonic GH1 forever.
The Canon 5DMark III! I just used it yesterday.
